Practice Counting Cribbage Hands

You're dealt four cards and a starter — count the fifteens, pairs, runs, flush, and nobs, and enter the total. Get it right and you'll see the full breakdown; get it wrong and you can try again or peek at the solution. Need a refresher first? Read the guide to counting hands.

What you're counting

Every hand is scored with the starter as a fifth card: 2 points for each combination totaling fifteen, 2 per pair, 1 per card in runs of three or more, 4 for a four-card flush (5 with the starter), and 1 for his nobs — the Jack matching the starter's suit. The deals here are the same as in a real game, checked by the same scoring engine PegOut uses to play cribbage.

Stuck on double runs or overlapping fifteens? The counting guide works through each pattern with example hands — or watch a full hand play out in the guided game.
